The NJHDA Archives are located at InfoAge Science/History Center at 2201 Marconi Road in Wall, New Jersey - the former Evans Area of Fort Monmouth. Directions to the archives are listed at the bottom of this page.
Because we are self-funded, we charge a nominal fee of $2.00 per visitor for using the archives. Current NJHDA Subscriber Members do not have to pay this fee as free access to the archives is a benefit of being a subscriber member.
Since our holdings are best utilized during a visit to our facility at the laboratory, researchers may want to know what is available to them before planning a trip. To better serve the interested public, we are making the contents of our catalog available to those with internet access.
The contents of the catalog can be viewed by selecting the Link in the section of the catalog you are viewing. Most of our holdings are in textual form, mostly books and reports.
An NJHDA Archives Retrieval Request Form can be downloaded, printed and filled out to save you time before traveling to the archives. When arriving at the archives facility, hand the completed form(s) to the archivist along with your valid drivers license. Time conscious researchers will find that this saves a half hour or more during a visit. To schedule a visit, contact NJHDA.
